Our trip began with a couple of quick stops in Eastern Washington, then we continued on to Utah.

I began the trip with a thorough celestial alignment at the Stonhenge replica above the Columbia River in Maryhill. |

We stayed one night with Kathy Wildermuth and John Jamison in Walla Walla. They have this lovely view of the Blue Moutains across their pond. |

Our first proper southwest stop was Arches National Park. The Delicate Arch (actually rather muscular) behind me is the one you see on Utah license plates. |

We saw these petroglyphs while walking back from the Delicate Arch. They were remarkably unprotected and unmolested. |
