In Northern Italy we visited Cinque Terre, Firenze, and Venezia.

In Vernazza we stayed in Albergo Barbara, the red hotel in the center of the picture.

The first day we hiked south to Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. This is Manarola. Cute, huh?

The second day we hiked to Monterosso. Here we look back at Vernazza from that trail.

From Cinque Terra we went to Florence. Here's the old bridge from the Ufizi Gallery.

Our hotel was just steps away from this view of the Duomo and Campanile.

Arriving in Venice, we hopped aboard a Vaporetto, one of the boats of the city bus system.

People and pigeons aplenty in Piazza St. Marco.
