We spent 10 days visiting France from North to South

Carl and Trish took us to their favorite cheese shop in Boulogne. Fromage formidable. |

We stopped to look at Rodin's "Burghers of Calais". From here we hopped on the TGV, and blasted through Paris to Lyon. In Lyon we rented a Renault Clio to experience the thrill of French driving. |

After getting lost only once or twice, we managed to find Jessica, Christy, and Jean Luc at their extraordinarily charming farmhouse. |

Jean Luc and Christy took us to Saint Antoine l'Abbaye to see an utterly authentic French flea market. |

No particular plan at all led us to this room in a lovely Chateau in Malaucene. |

We took a sightseeing break at a cafe in the old part of Arles... |

... which was apparently one of Vincent's hangouts as well. |

If you keep going south, you eventually hit the Mediterranean. We had lunch here with our toes in the sand. |

The old pirate town, Bormes les Mimosas, has this lovely view out to sea. |

Nice was the end of our driving adventure, and a return to relatively relaxing train travel. |
