From Santa Fe we headed west to Arizona.

Riding a petrified log takes skill, balance, and a great deal of patience.

One of the very coolest things in the petrified forest was Agate House, a pueblo constructed entirely of petrified wood.

These pools formed in the sandstone by Oak Creek would have been a lovely place to go swimming on a much warmer day.

We hiked part way up Bell Rock outside Sedona. We unsuccessfully looked for evidence of vorticies or harmonic convergence.
